This mountain allows you to easily enjoy nature to its fullest.
The appeal of this mountain includes the view from the summit and the morning mist which can be seen in late autumn. The summit provides sweeping views of Furukawa Basin, Mt. Ontake and the Hakusan Mountain Range. On days when mist forms in the morning, climbers can experience a wondrous sensation almost as if they were walking above the clouds.
After 10 in the morning, the mist gradually clears and Furukawa Basin appears beneath your eyes.
The changing views of landscape create an attractive atmosphere and the site is visited by many people. A forest road runs from Furukawa-cho, Taie district, making it possible to reach the summit parking lot by car.
Halfway up the mountain trail is the Monument to 25 Buddhist Saints. |
