Okuhida Sugo Nagareha Prefectural Park

Encountering the various expressions of nature

Our park spans a vast area in which the citizens’ residential area is also designated as part of the park. In addition to experiencing the satoyama’s landscape where people live together with nature, visitors who enter a little further into the park can experience the various expressions of nature while surrounding by a large primeval beech forest.
The park also contains six walking and hiking courses ranging from 5 to 16 kilometers in length. Visitors can take a chairlift to the summit even in the winter and try hiking in the snow. One appeal of this park is that it offers different enjoyable activities through spring, summer, autumn and winter.
